Virgil Jose Is a licensed California private investigator but has no active practice. He is a UCLA graduate who has been writing since high school.In the business world he has held titles such as Manager of Corporate Communications, responsible for public relations and for producing company publications, executive speeches, newsletters and white papers.
As a freelance journalist, he has done feature stories for a suburban newspaper group in Southern California.
In the early 1960s, he performed analysis and wrote reports as a military intelligence analyst.
Early in his business career, he performed insurance investigations, much like his protagonist, private eye Gil Rodrigues.
“The Examined Life” is his first work of published fiction.
